This is the version that appeared on the 1991 cassette "Identity Crisis". A new version was later recorded and is a bonus track on the digital release of 'it's not as if it were the end of the world... that was yesterday". This is a good example of how my early songs evolved from solo work to collaboration and better recording techniques.
lyrics
The sudden shock of the light caused blindness painted in orange
Screaming with the streaming tears, she cried
screaming in the darkness
from orange, brown, black
your sight is lost forever - blindness, blindness
in the blackout
invisible sirens burst your ears - it hurts
the pain is deep you suffer
waiting in the blackout
... from the blackout
... from the blackout
She'll be with you
be with you
be with you
be with you
until the end. Until the end. Until the end. Until the end.
The End.

Great artifacts revived for musical history. This release has all the going on's of a creative mind during Post-punk experimental atmosphere. Thomas Leer informing us that he was there too in the genius pool along the likes of early Human League/ Cabaret Voltaire and TG. My fave song was a Tossup athough I was entranced by the minimal and seductive beauty of Back of My Mind I choose Urbaine for its stark beauty futurism + brilliant signature Leer stream of conscious main keyboard riff. A deep synthwave trip into a blighted neon dystopia where androids and doomsday cults wreak havoc. Flashy, imaginative work from James Kent. Bandcamp New & Notable May 5, 2016
