I call this Metamorphosis 1 because we ended up releasing a Metamorphosis 2 on a compilation years later - and it was a completely different song. This song was never released, but recorded around 1993. I always loved the strange microtuned synth solo that I came up with and I sang the whole song through a kazoo -which accounts for the vocal annunciation and distortion.
lyrics
Shocked as I look at what you've become
and remember what you were
you let them tell you who you were
you let them shape your life
you let them shape your life... your life
maybe it's for the better
it's what you were destine for
the long white fangs that once protruded
replaced by a friendly smile... friendly smile
I know it is for the better
I know it is for the better
I know it is for the better
maybe I'll you in Heaven
I know it is for the better
maybe I'll see you next door
Maybe I'll see you next door
Maybe I'll live next door
Maybe... maybe... maybe.. maybe.

Great artifacts revived for musical history. This release has all the going on's of a creative mind during Post-punk experimental atmosphere. Thomas Leer informing us that he was there too in the genius pool along the likes of early Human League/ Cabaret Voltaire and TG. My fave song was a Tossup athough I was entranced by the minimal and seductive beauty of Back of My Mind I choose Urbaine for its stark beauty futurism + brilliant signature Leer stream of conscious main keyboard riff. A deep synthwave trip into a blighted neon dystopia where androids and doomsday cults wreak havoc. Flashy, imaginative work from James Kent. Bandcamp New & Notable May 5, 2016
